Matchpoint “Mama” Helps Develop Website for 2GoPC
4.1.08Portland, Oregon April 2008 ~ Matchpoint employee Gabriela Rotaru, of NY, NY, has been a member of the Matchpoint network since last summer. Portland based CTL Corporation contacted Matchpoint in late March in search of a resource to help them launch a website for their new product, the 2GoPC, www.2gopc.com.
Rotaru, a new mother of a nine month old girl, jumped at the opportunity and hit the ground running, getting the website out quickly for the May product launch,
“Gabriela is a perfect example of Matchpoint’s philosophy and value in action. Many very talented people choose to leave the workforce when they have children because they are unable to achieve balance between work and family. These types of projects, that have a beginning and an end, with clear deliverables, are right up our ally,” says Benson. “It’s a win for both the Parent as well as CTL.”
With a background in Interactive Media, Rotaru was formerly employed in Art Director positions at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and Cline Davis and Mann. Such jobs are difficult to hold down when one is responsible for a young child.
“Using our web site of pre-screened candidates, we were able to search and find prospects quickly. The challenge was finding someone who could work under such a tight deadline. It helped that Gabriela was able to work from home, and around the clock. This is a perfect example of why the Matchpoint concept works, and it’s so fun to see it in action,” said Benson who founded the company last year.
